 Dear Jim,

 They have arrived, and I am so pleased. I purchased about six of the Little Thinker tapes in the 1970s. My older son, now 32, loved them. When my daughter came along, now 27, she also loved them. My younger son, now 23, would take them to bed with him and listen. One evening, I was horrified to find him in the bed with at least four of those flimsy tapes stretched out all over his bed. They couldn't be repaired. I looked in all the stores, but by this time 10 years had elapsed, and the tapes were nowhere to be found. I couldn't find anything. Now, 20 years later, I found you and the CDs just in time for my older son's son to enjoy.

  Just the other day, I was having dinner with a friend talking about these Little Thinker stories. They have a special place in my heart. That's one of the reasons why I LOVE to draw now! I thought about whether it was possible to track these stories down. So, here I am...Thank YOU very much. I am so excited that I will be able to play these stories for my second grade students. This is the perfect age! Thank you...

  I stumbled across your website from an ebay listing, and I can't believe my luck!  I remember these from my childhood and I was thinking of buying them for my son as something fun he could do that doesn't involve TV or video games.  Wonderful work you have undertaken, and I will definitely be placing an order soon!

I listened to the clip you sent of the desert tape, and I can’t tell you how much fun it was to listen to, since I haven’t heard Nancy's voice in LONG time :) I thank you so very much. I want this for my own kids one day, (I don’t have any yet, but when I do, I hope they will be little thinkers like me!) and the fact there is a real live person out there who did all the leg work to collect these and transfer them to CD, is a blessing honestly. Your website is in my favorites and I plan to get the whole set one day for my future kids. But, for now, :) for myself, I’ll just buy one. Thanks for your help again. God bless you.

  Greetings!  My wife and I are expecting our first child and we've been talking and reminiscing about our childhood, and what we'd like OUR children to read and have available for media.  My wife mentioned the "Little Thinker" series as being something she had very strong memories of, and I did some digging and found your website.  Her birthday and Christmas are coming up, and I'd like to get a set for her/us/the baby.

  I remember that I had 2 or 3 Little Thinker cassettes in my early childhood...the "Dinosaurs" tape is the one I particularly recognize. These were truly inspiring and influential recordings for me...especially the electronic music that would play intermittently throughout each adventure. It’s awesome to know that these wonderful cassettes have been preserved. They definitely had something "special," that most other educational & artistic material for children--then and now--never seemed to have.

Just got the CDs. Thursday 5/14.

You've done a good thing.  My kids grew up with these stories.  Every night.  Now the little ones will have their turn.

Growing up without a television set in the mid 80s I was addicted to audio tapes and Little Thinker was one of my favorites. Over time they were lost or sold but I never forgot "Little Thinker's" voice.

(I then asked him why he was without TV…and sent him an audio clip)

Thank you so much for the audio clip. To answer your question, I am currently an active-duty Marine preparing for my second deployment to Iraq (I would rather it be Afghanistan but that's another story) as a provisional rifle platoon commander. By trade I am a Public Affairs officer but have spent most of my time fulfilling an infantry billet. My hat is off to you for recovering all those old audio cassettes. As I mentioned, without a TV in my house (my Dad was in the Army and we lived in far-off places), I craved tapes to listen to. When it came to Little Thinker I recall the journey into music adventure as well as one in a hot air balloon that involved a polar bear chase across the ice. I know at one point I had the jungle, undersea and dinosaur editions, only I think they got stolen along with some Fisher Price audio tapes when the family car was broken into in NYC around '87-'88, so my memory of them is far less vivid. Thanks again for establishing your web site that brings back such an important part of my youth.

I have been looking for the little thinker tapes for my niece and came across your site.  These tapes provided hours of entertainment for my brother and I growing up; I am so excited that someone took the time to convert them to a downloadable file.  I would love to hear a sample of the quality before purchasing the full series.  Is it possible to send a sample to me via email.  Thanks!  I look forward to hearing from you. 

  I remember these from when I was a kid.  They were great (distinctly remember the circus one).  Now that I have a son of my own, it would be something great to pass down.

Hey, is there any way I could get a download or CD of just ONE of the Little Thinker tapes?  We used to listen to the Dinosaur/prehistoric times one all the time as kids, and I'd really like a copy of just that one for my siblings for Christmas. Let me know and thanks for putting this out there.

I would love to find these tapes again for my little girl. Do you have any of the stories (hopefully the one about weather) still available? Can you make an mp3 version of the tape (I hate to admit it - we don't own a tape player!) Can't wait to hear from you.

I am so excited to see that someone out there has these!  My sisters and I LOVED these tapes when we were younger and now that I've got a son I've been dying to get them for him. 

I am a teacher and I found a few of these tapes in my storage closet... I have been using them with the kids but the quality is not very good...are your downloads and CDs in the same format, with the music etc?   Do you give any type of guarantee with purchase...I was very pleased to find your site ....the kids in my class still love these tapes...

Hi!  I have been looking for the Little Thinker series for YEARS!  This was one of my very favorite memories from my childhood and really wanted to give that same gift to my kids.  I have never found anything that could help on my quest until today and I am extremely excited.  I would prefer to save some money and do the download.  Thanks!

How can I go about downloading one or two tapes instead of the entire set? Is this possible? I used these tapes when I was a kid and want to keep them going for our kids. Thanks!
